Movin’ & Groovin’ in May – Physical Well-being Challenge

Join us to learn how you can increase your physical well-being and look at wellness from a holistic perspective. This kicks off the first of eight well-being challenges that will help you find employee resources and meet your wellness goals.

High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T.)
(Presented by VCU HR and VCU Recreation & Well-Being)
This full-body circuit training will feature a variety of strength and cardio exercises. Designed to provide you with a total body workout hitting every major muscle group as you build strength and endurance.

Vinyasa Yoga
(Presented by VCU HR and VCU Recreation & Well-Being)
This class moves through a variety of yoga poses in a balanced and systematic way also incorporating Vinyasa work: the union of the breath and movement. No equipment requirements, though a yoga mat is recommended.

Teamwork: The Essentials

The ability to understand and communicate effectively in teams is an important part of your personal and professional success. Through discussion and interactive exercises, we’ll explore how teams can work together most effectively, and learn how to apply successful team concepts and strategies in very practice ways. Interpersonal difficulties, such as trust, skill identification, conflict resolution, and communication issues, will be examined.
