What is TimelyCare?

TimelyCare is a virtual health and well-being platform available 24/7 to all employees and students at VCU.

How do I log in?

Go to https://app.timelycare.com/auth/login or download the TimelyCare app to access care.

How much does a visit cost?

There is no cost for faculty, staff or students at VCU.

I already have insurance. How does TimelyCare benefit me?

With TimelyCare, you will have free, 24/7 access to providers from anywhere in the United States, regardless of your insurance status. So, you’ll never have to spend time or money looking for care.

What can I be treated for?

TimelyCare’s providers can offer support for a wide range of common concerns, and after talking to you, will decide on the best course of treatment.

What services are available?

  • TalkNow: 24/7, on-demand emotional support to talk about anything, including anxiety, relationships, depression, and stressors. TalkNow connects an employee with a mental health professional to address issues promptly.
  • Scheduled Counseling: Choose the day, time, and mental health provider that works best for you. Employees receive up to 12 scheduled counseling appointments per academic year with counselors licensed in the state where the employee is located. There are a lot of options including nights and weekend hours. You can look through the provider bios, which include a list of communities that that provider has experience working with. Each session lasts about 50 minutes and resets every Fall.
  • Health Coaching: Develop healthy lifestyle behaviors for nutrition, sleep habits, time management, and mindfulness. Health coaching provides individual guided sessions on these well-being topics. You can use this as many times as you want. It is always free. These are one on one scheduled appointments either by phone or video. Live scheduled sessions with either a certified health and wellness coach or a registered dietician. Someone might use health coaching if they want to maybe create a plan to lose weight, quit smoking, etc. You can meet with the same person as many times as you want.
  • Self-Care Content: Visit the Explore page within TimelyCare for guided self-care content.

How to access TimelyCare:

  • Log in with your .edu email address.
  • Fill our some information – TimelyCare is confidential, secure & HIPAA complaint.
  • Click “Get Care”
  • Check out Explore page

VCU does not get any information about employees or students who use TimelyCare.
