Red Nose Day 2019
WHAT IS RED NOSE DAY?
Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become something of a British institution. It’s the day, every two years, when people across the land can get together and raise money at home, school and work.
There’s a fantastic night of TV on the BBC, with comedy and entertainment to inspire the nation to give generously.
Comic Relief spends the money raised by Red Nose Day to help people living tough lives across the UK and internationally.
In honor of Red Nose Day please enjoy this fun video! (Who doesn’t love Miranda and Downton Abbey?)
And remember….Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease. Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.
Find some time this weekend to laugh – watch a funny movie, enjoy some comedians on you tube, or enjoy a live comedy show at Richmond’s FunnyBone Comedy Club.
At VCU HR we want you to live your best life! Check out the RamStrong website for more information on what we offer.
