October’s Well-being Programs for VCU employees
We have some great programs coming up in October! We will be introducing a new employee discount – LegalShield, we will be talking about the new VCU Discount Marketplace, we will do the always well attended Medicare Overview and State Retiree Health Coverage session as well as many more! The schedule is below. We hope to see you there and that you will continue to encourage your colleagues to attend.
Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC)
The Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) is the only annual workplace giving program for the Commonwealth’s workforce, operated for and by state employees under the Executive Order of the Governor. With a selection of approximately 675 charities to choose from, you can enjoy flexible options for how to give, such as payroll deductions or credit card payments. The 2025 campaign runs from October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.

Full Body Circuits

This 30-minute virtual circuit workout targets all parts of the body at different times to get that whole-body workout experience. We will be working on our arms, legs, chest, back and core!

Medicare Overview and State Retiree Health Coverage
(Presented by VCU HR and Social Security Administration)
Join this workshop from Social Security and learn answers to questions about Medicare A and B. Eligibility requirements, Enrollment periods, application process and online services will be addressed. VCU Benefits will also present on the State Retiree Health Coverage.
