Mindful living is, in part, about noticing all the ways that our attention gets fractured and co-opted during the course of a day, and then finding ways to bring ourselves gently back.

Especially during periods with lots of down time, like vacations and holidays, we often engage in activities that are sometimes labeled as “mindless”—watching lots of TV and movies, zoning out with phone in hand, or spending long hours playing video games.
