With the weather pleasantly chilly and the air fresh and crisp, it’s the perfect time to increase the frequency and duration of your weekly walks. This simple, low-impact exercise can benefit people of all ages and abilities. And, yes, walking is exercise. Doing it for as little as 30 minutes a day, five days a week, can improve your heart and lung health, prevent arthritis-related joint pain, reduce stress and anxiety, and maintain a healthy weight.

We’re sharing our Healthy Monday Walk Your Way to Better Health package. This 10-week series provides information on the benefits of walking, proper walking form, ways to fit in more steps, and how to start your own walking group. Take in the fall foliage by adding some more walking to your workout routine.
