Giving VCU employees the wellness resources they need to be healthy both on and off campus

The value of routines in anchoring our days when we find ourselves experience depression.

  • We start by synching up our sleep and wake times using an alarm every day. Getting that regularity established helps set some of the other natural rhythms and can give us direction in heavy moments.
  • Step 2 is building in environmental wellness by making “clean up as you go” a habit to fight overwhelm.
  • Finally we work to counteract our tendency to self-isolate by recognizing we are healthier with other people in our lives.
