This 30-minute class will not only give you an excellent abdominal and low back workout, but will also challenge your other major muscle groups.

Self-care in the face of adversity
(Presented by VCU HR and Anthem EAP)
This session provides information on the history of adversity, trauma symptoms, triggers, and how to care for yourself while dealing with these issues. Explore different sources and types of trauma, and develop tools to set healthy boundaries and maintain optimal self-care.

Tuesday, January 16th – 12 pm
Deep Stretch
(Presented by VCU HR and VCU Recreation & Well-Being)
This is a slower 30-minute practice focused on active stretching of muscles and opening of connective tissue. Release built up tension, prevent injury, increase blood flow to muscles, and increase long-term flexibility. No equipment requirements, though a yoga mat is recommended.

Compassion Connections: Fostering Empathy and Wellness in Higher Education
(Presented by VCU HR and Jan Nelson, VCU Adjunct Instructor)
Join our “Compassion Connections” workshop to unlock the power of empathy and wellness in your professional life. Gain insights into the neuropsychology of compassion and leave with practical tools for creating amore empathetic workplace.
