The USDA suggests that soups and stews are safe to consume for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator if cooled and stored properly. So, if you make a large batch of soup or stew this winter season and don’t think your family will finish it in this amount of time, one way to prevent food waste and to meal prep for the season is to freeze your soup!
