Good office ergonomics maintain good health and optimize performance at work. This training will introduce the concept of ergonomics, walk through a workstation set-up and outline resources available to VCU faculty and staff.

Stroke Prevention and Treatment

Knowing the early warning signs of a stroke can save a life. Learn to identify common signs of a stroke and stroke symptoms so you or a family member or colleague can act fast, survey, and recover.

Kickboxing

This full-body circuit training takes the basics martial arts and adds the fun. You’ll be punching and kicking your way through 30 minutes of strength and cardio. At the end of it all you’ll walk away ready to tackle the day.

Preparing for the Return to Repayment for Student Loans and Impact on the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF)

(Presented by VCU HR and VCU Financial Wellness)

Payments are scheduled to restart in October 2023, with options including a new repayment plan and on-rams for borrowers still struggling with repayment. Some of these changes have implications for borrowers working towards Public Service Loan Forgiveness. Learn about the details of PSLF, including qualifying repayment plans and employer certification to remain on track to have your student loans forgiven.

Sound Bath Meditation

(Presented by VCU HR)

This session is in-person, not virtual

A Sound Bath is a form of meditation that guides you into a deep relaxation state while enveloped in ambient sound. Waves of soothing, echoing sound from crystal bowls, gong and various instruments assist the mind-body with stress and fatigue. This is an in-person session that will take place outside in Monroe Park. Bring a mat or a blanket with you if you have one.
