Giving VCU employees the wellness resources they need to be healthy both on and off campus

Mindfulness Optimism Relax Harmony Concept

Mindful practice has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and symptoms of burnout – challenges that we know many students and staff have experienced, or continue to experience. This program aims to identify students, faculty, and staff interested in creating a mindful revolution and healthier campus community.

To get started with the Mindful Ambassador Program, all participants must first complete a 4 week mindfulness training course. This course is currently being offered through Recreational Sports, and is free to all VCU Rams – no membership required. There’s a section offered specifically for students, and a section for staff and faculty. You may sign up for the section that you most closely identify with. Please click here for more information and registration.

Once you complete the training course, I will be reaching out to participants to begin the Mindful Ambassador portion of the program. Our office will host ongoing professional development and training opportunities so that you can feel confident spreading mindfulness in the spaces that you occupy – such as with peers, in the classroom, in your organization, or with students .
