Do you need extra motivation to get moving, right now? We have the answer!

FITNESS AND WELLNESS 5-WEEK CHALLENGE!

VCU Human Resources is excited to partner with Recreational Sports to offer a fitness and wellness challenge for the month of May! The challenge will feature two incentive programs to encourage and support you in getting outside, and getting active over the next 5 weeks (05/04-06/05).

  • Walk to Run: Together, we’ll go from walking to jogging or running 3 continuous miles! Choose this incentive program if you’re new to jogging/running. This is a self-guided incentive program; therefore there is no schedule to adhere to. Walk when you want to. Run when you want to.
  • Go the Distance: In this program we’ll be working to decrease our one-mile run time, and become more aerobically efficient. We’re here to help you take your running faster and further! This is a great program for those individuals that already completed the first round of Walk-to-Run or for folks who already have a regular jogging/running routine.

In both programs, we’ll be holding you accountable for your work by asking you to submit logs of your walking and jogging/running workouts. Additionally, we’ll be offering supplemental workshops and education sessions on various health and wellness topics such as nutrition, recovery strategies, and more! The more you engage, the more chances you have at winning some awesome prizes (including RamTech and Recreational Sports gift certificates)!

To register for either of these engaging incentive programs visit the Rec Sports Portal and click on the appropriate incentive program. Registration is open NOW and will close on Friday, May 8 at 12pm.
