Giving VCU employees the wellness resources they need to be healthy both on and off campus

Each year, formal tribute is made acknowledging employee service (in five-year increments). 2019 marks the 48th annual service recognition celebration for VCU and VCU Health faculty and staff with 5 to 55 years of service. This year’s celebration will take place on October 15th, from 3 pm to 5 pm in the Stuart C. Siegel Center at 1200 West Broad Street. Transportation will be provided from the MCV Campus and parking will be available (details coming soon). This year’s service recognition recipients will receive invitations at the beginning of September with more information about the event.

The  2019 Service Recognition Recipients is available in Excel format, which can be downloaded and sorted by years of service, department name, or Vice Presidential area. Please take a close look and report any changes/corrections to Cindi Phares (cphares@vcu.edu

Service recognition recipients celebrating 25 or more years of service may choose a Limited-Edition gift crafted by an artist with a connection to VCU. This year’s artist, Zoe Pettit, a freshman at the VCU School of the Arts/Art Foundations program, created a handcrafted wooden clock featuring the newly renovated Monroe Park. The fine details of the pathways leading to the Monroe Park fountain and the surrounding VCU buildings is an iconic location for many VCU employees. This milestone gift uniquely celebrates the university’s recent innovative and creative achievements. You can see this beautiful piece on display at the Gateway Building (MCV Campus) and i the Welcome Center of the Lindsey House (Monroe Park Campus).
