Get Ahead of Anxiety – Sleep Better Tonight!
People who sleep seven to eight hours most nights are less likely to feel anxious, say preliminary results from the new Your Total Wellness Index Survey conducted by the Good Housekeeping Wellness Lab. “Shorter sleep duration is associated with more rumination and worry,” says Jacob Nota, Ph.D., a fellow at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, who is not involved with the survey. Try to set aside time to relax, meditate, or exercise-all can help ease anxiety. To check on your healthy habits and take the survey, visit womansday.com/wellness-index.
