Giving VCU employees the wellness resources they need to be healthy both on and off campus

Earlier this week, VCU HR sponsored a wonderful session for employees on Meditation.  We had a great turnout and everyone seemed to really benefit from the class!  It’s wonderful to learn how to be in the moment and it certainly helps to deal with day to day stresses. In the class we learned about Artfulness at VCU.

Do you know about Artfulness?  Artfulness is the attention to the present moment by means of artistic practices and sensory experiences, created by VCU’s Academic Learning Transformation Lab.  The curriculum is online and contains four sessions: Beginning Practice, Catching Breath, Restoring Stillness, and Forming Connections. It helps each one to focus more on being in the now. I hope you find this helpful as you go through your day! You can access the sessions here.
