Upper Body Strength

(Presented by VCU HR and VCU Recreation & Well-Being)

This 30-minute upper-body circuit training is really going to challenge your muscles with moves designed to target your Chest, Back, and Arms. Option to add weights or just your body-weight.

Eyes on the Prize – Almost There!

(Presented by VCU HR and MissionSquare)

Exciting times are ahead! As you approach the end of the accumulation phase of your career and into your spending phase of your life, you’ll want to make sure the ride into retirement is a smooth one. In this seminar we’ll discuss how much retirement will cost, Social Security planning and our ready-to-retire checklist.

Learn the Basics of When and How to Claim Social Security

There’s a lot to consider when deciding when to take Social Security benefits. Understanding the key claiming ages and how your benefit is calculated is important, so you can feel confident about your decision. Fidelity will address these items in this timely session.

Power of Positive Thinking

(Presented by VCU HR and Anthem EAP)

Whether you believe it or not, you can rewire your brain to think differently. Positive thinking can dramatically affect your attitude, as well as your relationships with others. In this seminar, you’ll learn how to replace negativity with positive thoughts, and discuss best practices and the power of praise. These skills will allow you to make the changes that lead to greater happiness.

Vinyasa Yoga

(Presented by VCU HR and VCU Recreation & Well-Being)

This style of yoga involves linking poses together in a flowing sequence that’s coordinated with the breath. This flow will have a dynamic focus on strengthening and stretching poses.

Medicare and State Retiree Health Coverage

 (Presented by VCU HR and Social Security Administration)

Join this workshop from Social Security and learn answers to questions about Medicare A and B. Eligibility requirements, Enrollment periods, application process and online services will be addressed. VCU Benefits will also present on the State Retiree Health Coverage.
