Chair Yoga
(Presented by VCU HR and VCU Recreation & Well-Being)
A gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. This is a great practice for everyone, as it depends flexibility and strengthens personal body awareness and is a perfect class for those who may have limited mobility or joint range of motion.

Thinking Traps

When your boss cancels a meeting with you, do you assume it’s personal, or that your job’s in trouble? Does receiving a call from your child’s school cause heart palpitations? Jumping to conclusions and worst care scenarios are examples of thinking traps – or negative patterns of thought. If your mind often goes to a place of anxiety, blame or fear, then it’s time to re-examine the way you think. Self-awareness is the first step, and we can help you start working on the rest. Learn how to reverse your thinking traps and help others do the same.
