High Intensity Interval Training

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a training technique in which you give all-out, quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods.

Fall and Winter Safety and Poison Prevention

(Presented by VCU HR and VCUHS Poison Center)

The Fall and Winter seasons come with their own unique safety hazards. Join Educational Specialist Shelly Clary from the Virginia Poison Center to learn tips and how to stay safe and healthy when temperatures start to fall.

In this session by Fidelity you will see the importance of saving as much as possible, learn the benefits of saving more, identify different retirement account types, and explore ways to preserve and grow savings.

Emotional Eating

(Presented by VCU HR and Anthem EAP)

Are you an emotional eater? In this workshop, participants will explore their own eating habits and learn to spot emotional eating. We will discuss the relationship between moods and cravings, learn to recognize things that are likely to trigger emotional eating, and identify steps and resources to gain control.

2023 Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC)

The 2023 campaign season will run from October 1, 2023 until December 31, 2023.

 CVC is the only annual workplace giving program for the Commonwealth’s workforce and provides employees with a selection of approximately 700+ carefully screened charities you can support.

Did you know that all monetary donations donated through the CVC are 100% tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law?

Why give to the CVC?

  • All charities participating in the CVC have been pre-screened to ensure that they are fiscally sound and that they perform the services stated.
  • Payroll deduction allows you to budget your contribution throughout the year through regular automated giving. Payroll deductions made during the 2023 campaign will begin in January 2024 and end in December 2024.
  • The CVC operates for and by state employees under the Executive Order of the Governor.
  • There are many opportunities to give. The CVC accepts credit card or payroll deduction.
