The Lifelong Learning Institute in Chesterfield is sponsored by VCU, Chesterfield County and Chesterfield County Public Schools, and is a member-supported nonprofit 501c3 organization with a mission to provide lifelong learning opportunities for midlife and older adults through education, fitness, and social activities. An LLI membership is $150 and provides access to unlimited courses for one full year. LLI is currently offering 170 in-person and 40 online courses in the Spring 2022 session.

• The Lifelong Learning Institute in Chesterfield (LLI) is a member-supported, nonprofit 501c3
organization with a mission to provide lifelong learning opportunities for midlife and older
adults through education, fitness, and social activities.
• LLI is sponsored by VCU, Chesterfield County and Chesterfield County Public Schools.
• LLI has been accomplishing their mission since March 2004 in the Village of Midlothian.
• An LLI membership is $150 and provides access to unlimited courses for one full year.
• Scholarships are available to those with a financial need.
• LLI is currently offering 170 in-person and 40 online courses in the Spring 2022 session.
• LLI currently has over 970 members with over 730 members registered for courses.
• LLI currently has members from 47 zip codes in the region and 8 out-of-state zip codes.
• All LLI courses are taught by volunteer instructors with the exception of Fitness courses.
• All LLI courses are organized into the following 14 categories:
