Teachers Appreciation Week

May 2 – May 6

Teachers continue to show up every day from the time our children get off the school bus to the time they graduate from college. While there have been many challenges along the way, educators across America are committed to ensuring students have the knowledge they need to reach their full potential.

During Teacher Appreciation Week, we honor all our Teachers, Instructors and Professors for going beyond the call of duty to make a positive impact on our student’s learning and development.

Thank You

National Nurses Week

May 6 – May 12

From assisting with emergencies to delivering newborns and caring for the elderly, nurses perform some of the most crucial and heartbreaking tasks in the medical field. As skilled medical providers who perform the most essential healthcare tasks, nurses serve as the first point of contact for most patients.

VCU Staff Senate supports National Nurses Week and honors every nurse for their contributions and sacrifices and reminds us to thank the medical professionals who keep us healthy. It’s celebrated between May 6, National Nurses Day, and May 12, the birth date of the famous and well-known nurse

Florence Nightingale.
