VCU HR Well-Being blog

Giving VCU employees the wellness resources they need to be healthy both on and off campus

Dear friends,

In this current state of pandemonium, it’s easy to forget what’s truly important in life: your health, your family, your friends, your passions. Fostering gratitude strengthens your ability to recognize and appreciate all the things close to your heart, even during times of strife.
This week we are focusing on ways to express and show gratitude. Use our guided meditation to refocus your energy on all the good in your life, and share our gratitude GIF with your social network to remind your friends and family be thankful and appreciative for all of their blessings; express gratitude for your physical ability by adding some dance into your weekly workout routine; and show some gratitude for the planet by cooking some of our most popular Meatless Monday plant-based recipes. This Monday, let your gratitude grow.

Everybody Dance Now!

We dance to celebrate; we dance to express ourselves; but we can also dance to improve our conditioning and to get into better shape.

Use this Monday as an excuse to turn up the tunes and get moving.

Adopt an Attitude of Gratitude

Practicing gratitude can improve your own well-being and influence the lives of others.
