New anti-racism guide helps you explore a critical topic
VCU Libraries is committed to helping our communities identify, explore and understand the systemic racism that infuses all aspects of our lives, so that we can advance our work in confronting that racism.
This online guide provides a launching point for exploring the subject of anti-racism. This is an important, rapidly growing field, so if you don’t see a particular resource listed here or by searching our collection, please tell us about it by using this form.
The guide showcases books, films, lectures and articles. Online resources’s topics range from an article on the case for reparations to the ebook version of the much lauded White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo.
This resource, created by Community Engagement Librarian Donna E. Coghill, will be updated as new materials are available. “The resources included in this guide are a starting point for furthering our understanding and opening discussions about racism and related injustices in our communities,” she says.
