Upcoming Conference: December/2018, Scam (11-29-2018)
The following is an scam in which the scammer is claiming to have some communications about an upcoming conference. The email states that there is a PDF of the conference details that the victim can inspect. The alleged PDF is hidden behind a link. If the link is clicked the victim will be presented with a phishing Office 365 login page.
Any information on this page will be sent to the scammer and they will have compromised the credentials of the victim. You can tell this is a scam because the email address is from a random address- not from an official conference. There is no information about what the conference is or any information about it at all. The email is also very vague with just the link to open the PDF.
