Classified job postings updated with information about HR Redesign
The following information regarding VCU’s plan to redesign its Human Resources structure is now included in all job postings for classified staff. This applies to jobs posted on or after July 1, 2016.

Employees hired into positions posted on or after July 1, 2016, will be governed by and, if employed at the time of implementation, will move into the new University Human Resources System. For additional information, go to http://greatplace.vcu.edu.”

This information is automatically populated under the position information on job postings in VCU eJobs and will be included in confirmation letters. There is no action required on your part. This only applies to employees who fill classified positions posted on or after July 1, 2016. Employees who fill positions that were posted before July 1, 2016 will not be impacted by this change, even if they begin work after July 1, 2016. Additionally, there will be a new field in eJobs to indicate if an employee falls under the new plan. Questions? Please contact your Human Resources Consultant.

Classified performance appraisal training
August is just around the corner! Is your department ready for the annual classified performance appraisal? This process provides an opportunity for managers/supervisors to give employees feedback about job performance and to work together to set developmental goals. It’s also a requirement of State Policy 1.40, Performance Planning and Evaluation. In addition, staff can participate in the process by completing a self-evaluation and performance plan. Space is available in the following sessions:
