TechTuesday

A weekly tip email from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.

Tip #1 – ? Top Hat ?

This is an incredible student-engagement tool with features like live polling, attendance tracking, and Canvas integration. On June 21, 10-11, Top Hat will be hosting a virtual training just for us! If you want to attend, please sign up for training here (no tuxedos required?). The Zoom link will be sent out prior to the training.

Tip #2 – It’s Spring cleaning time, so summon your inner Marie Kondo and bring out the broom… the digital broom that is! Our Google Drive folders are filling up and “Google announced a new storage policy ending free unlimited storage for the academic community. VCU’s storage limits go into effect May 2024” (Kicking off a Digital Spring Cleaning).

Our central Google team has launched a summer campaign to raise awareness and incentivize reducing our personal Drives and Shared Drives. To subscribe and learn more about this initiative, read their post, “Welcome to the “Ramscaping your Google Account” Summer challenge.” If you would like additional help organizing your Drive, contact IT.
