Tech Tuesday – September 3: Copilot Tips and Patient Folder Link Change
TechTuesday
A weekly tip email from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.
Tip #1 – Last week we chatted about Copilot, the Microsoft AI that VCU has teamed up with. This AI isn’t just a search engine; it’s like having a super-smart friend who knows everything (but without the annoying “I told you so”). With the right prompts, you can get results that are tailored, specific, and even a bit creative. Here are a few tips to make your experience even better:
1. It’s all about the delivery – Copilot can tailor the response however you want. You can prompt it with instructions like, “Explain to me like I’m a beginner,” or “Just give me bullet points.” Think of it as your personal AI butler, ready to serve up knowledge just the way you like it.
2. Be descriptive – We usually use search engines with minimal input and then sift through the results ourselves. But with AI, the more descriptive you are, the better. It’s like giving a chef all the ingredients for a perfect dish instead of just saying, “Make me something tasty.”
3. Feed it data – You can import or feed it data to work with.
-Example 1: Import course content and ask for exam questions. It’s like having a study buddy who never gets tired.
-Example 2: Copy an email and ask it to make it “funnier.” Because who doesn’t love a good laugh?
-Example 3: Upload an image and ask for an analysis. It’s like having an art critic in your pocket (minus the pretentiousness).
Tip #2 – Where did Patient Folder go?! Fear not; it has merely moved. To make room for some very helpful integrations coming soon, we have moved our Patient Folder link to the bottom of the axiUm left menu. You will find it nestled right next to MiPacs Web Viewer.
