TechTuesday

A weekly tip email from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.

Tip #1 – Last week, we sent a reminder that miPacs web viewer is available from the main axiUm menu. It can be found at the bottom of the left menu.

There are multiple tools available for manipulating 3d and 2d images. This web viewer is great when you need to look at some images quickly!

You can adjust contrast and exposure, take measurements, and view a rendered 3d model.

Tip #2 – We’ve talked about Settings in Gmail and Drive. We will round it out today with Settings in Calendar. Found the same way as the other two, Calendar settings can save you a few seconds here and there. With how much we rely on Google Calendar, the saved time can really add up.

You can set multiple default settings, like default event duration, appointment scheduling, and office hours (including location).

There are also specific settings for individual calendars, like who has access and default notifications.

Lastly, I want to call out a great little feature called Speedy Meetings. Look everyone, we are all busy. Too busy. We frequently go from one meeting to another with no buffer, no brain break, no time.

Checking this box will automatically shorten your meetings, building in time for you to gather yourself, prepare for the next meeting, get to the next meeting, or just take a breather. We want to see everyone less stressed, because less stress means happier healthier people and happier healthier organizations.

It is found under General Settings.
