Tech Tuesday – June 4: miPacs Web Viewer and Google Drive Settings
TechTuesday
A weekly tip email from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.
Tip #1 – “Psst…there’s an image web viewer down here.”

To find it, scroll down in the axiUm menu. No, all the way down. You will see “MiPacs Web Viewer.” When you don’t have access to Carestream or just need to see a CBCT in a pinch, you can use this tool. It will launch your internet browser and open up miPacs Webviewer, where you will see all of the patient’s approved series. Just click to view a series, both 2D and 3D! This brief overview will get you started.

Tip #2 – Like Gmail, Google Drive has its own settings that can make your life a little easier. Get to Drive settings via the gear icon near your profile picture.

You will see multiple settings related to aesthetics and automation. One setting under “Uploads” will automatically convert non-Google document, spreadsheet, and presentation files to the native Google Drive formats. This can eliminate the manual conversion process. Remember, some Google Drive features are only available for fully Google formats, like Docs, Slides, and Sheets.
