TechTuesday

A weekly tip email from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.

Tip #1 –

“Who has access to this Google Drive file?”

“How can I easily share with everyone on my team?”

“That person left; how will we get access to the Drive file!?”

If you frequently have these questions, a Google Shared Drive may be just the solution you need. It operates almost exactly as My Drive in Google, but is owned by the department or team, instead of an individual. This means everyone added to that Shared Drive has access to all of the files and folders. If a person leaves that team, the files remain accessible by the rest. You can still share individual folders and files out to those not on the Shared Drive. To learn more, click here.

Tip #2 – Just a reminder that if students are using an RCT chair, they are supposed to sign in with “dendoc.” Students and clinical faculty have been emailed the credentials. Please do not let students use their personal VCU accounts on these machines.
