A weekly tip email from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.

Tip #1 – Get real good at REALGuide

The cloud can get a bit confusing, so let’s demystify it. When you first open REALGuide, you will see a patient list. These patients are locally stored, meaning they are on that local machine’s drive.

Click the cloud icon (red arrow). It will turn green, indicating that you are looking at all of your cloud-save patients and patients shared with you. After you finish editing a patient, click the patient cloud icon (orange arrow) to upload any changes to the cloud.

If you see patients shared with you via the cloud, and are ready to work on those cases, click the patient to activate it, then the download icon (green arrow) to download to your local machine’s drive.

Tip #2 – If you’re like us, you frequently send emails with identical or similar content. If you don’t want to type the entire email each time, you can utilize Gmail’s template tool. Type your email as you want to save it. Then, follow the clickpath below to save it as a template. When you want to populate it in the email box, select it from your template menu.
