axiUm eRx Adjustment
A major priority for us is data integrity, if good data goes into axiUm, we get good data out. If we get bad or fragmented data in, we get bad or fragmented data out. One place we are honing our efforts is in the Medication tab. Some users use the +>”New Prescription” and “Existing Prescription” to input medications into axiUm. Some use eRx. Each stores the data slightly different and thus negatively affects reporting. On Friday, December 16, we will gray out the Medication>+>”New Prescription” and “Existing Prescription,” so the only way to input medications, allergies, and prescriptions is through eRx. This helps in numerous ways:
- eRx has built-in medication alerts that ensure a patient cannot be prescribed a medication they are allergic to. This can only happen if the medication and allergy are both input through eRx.
- eRx has a quick search feature for current medications, which means the provider does not need to manually input all medications. They can be imported from the pharmaceutical database.
- eRx has a much more vast drug database.
- Inputting everything through eRx results in much more accurate data and reporting.

In case you need some remediation on eRx, here are guides and videos.
