Phishing Scams and Schemes Unveiled

This was a pretty sophisticated job offer scam. The phisher’s email tried to lure individuals to a fake job offer. They crafted a PDF document with the VCU logo. We can see they did not use actual letter-head and they have a couple of odd grammatical choices. It is common for phishers to mess up grammar/spelling, and it is a tell-tale sign that this email is malicious. Also, they utilized a disposable email account service to try to hide their tracks (E.g.: SarBelton@protonmail.com). Take a look for your self:
