ClinicalKey Cancellation: Ebook access ends Oct. 20
VCU Libraries’ contract for ClinicalKey expires Oct. 20, 2020. VCU Libraries has been unable to negotiate acceptable terms with the vendor and this contract will not be renewed. Although VCU Libraries is attempting to negotiate a brief extension that aligns with the end of the fall semester, access is not guaranteed beyond Oct. 20, 2020.
ClinicalKey is a health sciences database that includes reference books and journals, point-of-care monographs, drug information, videos, practice guidelines, customized patient education handouts, clinical calculators and more.
“We recognize the challenges that losing access to ClinicalKey’s ebooks will present to programs using this content,” said Karen Gau, who manages health sciences collections. Instructors and program directors who need assistance with finding alternative titles should contact their liaison librarians or email AskTML@vcu.edu.
