COVA health benefits update
Dear colleagues:
COVA health benefits changes become effective July 1, 2019. Please note the following important information:
- COVA Care and COVA HDHP participants will have new member IDs beginning with the prefix FVI. Anthem mailed new cards to plan participants. Please be sure to use the new cards beginning July 1 and to share your new member ID information with your health care providers.
- COVA HealthAware dental benefits will now be administered by Delta Dental. Aetna mailed new ID cards to plan participants with updated dental contact information. Please be sure that your dental providers file claims with Delta Dental as referenced on the card.
- The pharmacy benefits manager for COVA Care, COVA HealthAware, and COVA HDHP will change to Anthem Pharmacy (delivered by IngenioRX). Express Scripts and Aetna will no longer administer pharmacy benefits for these plans. Your new cards reference updated pharmacy group information. Please be sure to use the updated information when ordering prescriptions at the pharmacy or via mail order.
- The flexible spending accounts (FSA) administrator will change to PayFlex. Health FSA participants will receive PayFlex debit cards by mail, which can be activated using the last four numerals in the employee’s COVA health plan ID number. Claims for the plan year ending June 30, 2019 must be filed with Anthem, the previous administrator, by September 30, 2019. Claims for eligible expenses incurred July 1, 2019 or later must be filed with PayFlex. Please see flexible spending information. With this administrator change, the monthly participation fee for FSAs is reducing to $2.10 per month from $3.65 per month last year.
