Dear HR Colleagues:

We are pleased to announce two new updates to our hiring processes. Recently, VCU HR developed an automated system for generating faculty position numbers and moved new hire paperwork for all new employees to DocuSign. Both of these updates will modernize and improve processing time.

Faculty position numbers
Employees are now be able to establish faculty position numbers in eJobs. To navigate to this page, visit eJobs, click “request to recruit new position,” then click the link under the “position number” field to launch the Google Form. Submitting the form will send an automated email containing the new faculty position number. The position number will now be required before submitting the action in eJobs for approval. For positions established prior to June 3, please use position number previously provided by HR Operations or the Office of the Provost.

New hire paperwork
All new hire paperwork will now be completed in DocuSign under “HR new hire documents.” The forms may be sent by anyone with a DocuSign sender account. Visit the DocuSign Getting Started page for more information on how to use DocuSign and to request or update your access. If you have questions, please contact pafs@vcu.edu.
