Leave reminder
Dear Colleagues:
I’m pleased to share that Friday, July 5, 2019 will now be a VCU holiday as a result of Governor Northam granting additional leave. Eight hours of additional leave will be pre-loaded in VCU RealTime for eligible employees. Please review the updatedpayday and holiday calendar. For information about employee leave, review the leave guidelines.
As a reminder, leave carryover and payout maximums will go into effect in January 2020 for University and Academic Professionals. Employees in this category withleave balances exceeding the maximum carryover amount will forfeit the additional hours starting January 9, 2020. Leave payouts to University and Academic Professionals separating from the university after January 9, 2020 will be subject to the maximum payout limit.
Please review your leave amounts in VCU eServices as well as the carryover and payout maximum chart. If the leave amount exceeds the amount of leave you are eligible to carryover in 2020, please work with your supervisor to make them aware of these limits and develop a schedule with your department to use your leave from now until January 9, 2020.
