Banner 9 rollout
Dear Colleagues:
Over the next several months, VCU will roll out an upgrade to the Banner administrative user interface. The Banner 8 Forms interface, which has been in place at VCU for 13 years, will be replaced with Banner 9 Administrative Pages. You are receiving this email because you are in the next group to begin using the new interface. All schools and departments will transition to Banner 9 Administrative Pages by Winter 2018, at which time Banner 8 Forms will be shut-down permanently.
The Banner 9 Administrative Pages interface has many new and helpful features, though navigation and some keyboard shortcuts are different from Banner 8 Forms and may take some getting used to. To prepare for this transition, we encourage you to read through the following materials and register for available training.
- Banner Administrative Pages Resources includes FAQs, a navigation guide, and keyboard shortcuts.
- The Banner Guides for HR Wiki includes user guides specific to HR.
- A Guide for Finance Administrative Pages, “Explore Banner Finance 9,” shows navigation for the most common forms.
- Register for one of the following Human Resources sessions:
All training is held in the HR Training Room (922 W. Grace St). You will receive a link to begin accessing Banner 9 in early June. For specific questions regarding HR, email hrsecurity@vcu.edu; regarding ImageNow workflow, email imagenow@vcu.edu; or regarding Finance, email finsecurity@vcu.edu.
