Dear Colleagues:
After the tremendous efforts of individuals across the university, it is with great enthusiasm that we enter the next phase of the Talent@VCU roll-out: the launch of the learning management system (LMS). The Talent@VCU LMS connects several Great Place: HR Redesign initiatives by providing a ‘one-stop-shop’ to track career development activities and compliance training. For convenience, managers can view who on their team has completed required courses and see a full transcript of completed training at any time.

VCU’s staff and A&P faculty are already using Talent@VCU to set goals for the year as part of the performance management process, but the LMS is open to all staff and faculty, including hourly workers. (Students and student workers can continue to take their trainings in Blackboard. For more information about which employee types can access Talent@VCU vs. Blackboard, please visit the VCU Human Resources website.)

Integrity & Compliance Education and Information Security Awareness
Starting next week, employees can access the Talent@VCU LMS to complete two annual compliance courses: Integrity and Compliance Education and Information Security Awareness. The deadline for completion is Tuesday, March 20. Employees will receive a link to the VCU Human Resources website, where they can find detailed instructions on how to access and complete the courses.

Title IX: Not Anymore
New faculty and staff can also complete VCU’s Title IX: Not Anymore training through the Talent@VCU LMS. Instructions for how to access the training can be found on the Title IX Training FAQ web page (please note there is a different process for student workers). Employees and managers can view completed transcripts within 24 hours of completing the training.

Transcript Reports
Because training completion is now tracked through the Talent@VCU LMS, managers can access employee transcripts and run reports on training completion. Instructions on how to access transcripts, can be found on the VCU Human Resources website.
Thank you for your assistance in ensuring all employees complete these required courses and for your commitment to a culture of integrity and compliance at VCU.

All my best,
Cathleen C. Burke
Assistant Vice President for Human Resources
