Great Place: HR Redesign effective date
Dear Colleagues:
VCU’s Great Place: HR Redesign policies are designed to reward growth and learning, align our everyday work with the strategic mission of the university, modernize how we recruit and retain talented employees, and preserve what we appreciate most about state employment. As an employee hired into a position posted on or after July 1, 2016, VCU’s new HR plan becomes effective for you January 1, 2018. You will receive an email and letter home directing you to details of VCU’s new HR plan. Starting January 1, 2018, you can find information specific to you regarding your placement in the new job family structure in the myVCU portal.
You will also have access to a side-by-side comparison of the current HR plan alongside the new HR plan, so you can be clear on what is staying the same, what is changing for everyone, and what is changing for you. Please check your current contact information in eServices/VCU Self-Service to ensure both your home mailing address and campus box address are up-to-date and be on the lookout for more communications coming in January.
