The deadline for completing classified staff performance reviews for 2015-2016 and for getting them to VCU Human Resources was October 14, 2016. Please follow up on any outstanding evaluations and email them to hrdocs@vcu.edu or fax them through ImageNow no later than November 4, 2016. If you are unable to fax to ImageNow, you can hand-deliver completed forms to the HR Building at 104 North Belvidere Street on the Monroe Park Campus.

To see which evaluations are missing for your area for this performance cycle, go to the VCU Reporting Center and click on the “Missing Evaluations” report in the Personnel Administrators folder. Then follow these instructions:

  • In the “Evaluations Received Since” section, type in 08/15/2016.
  • In the “For Employees Hired Before” section, type in 07/25/2016.
  • Then choose the categories, as applicable, in the drop-down menus.

Annual evaluations are required, are critical for good management practice, and identify learning and developmental needs for employees and help them plan their career growth. This supervisory tool helps define good performance and encourages sustained performance.

As a reminder, supervisors should be working with employees to practice “cascading goals” for the upcoming performance cycle. Performance plans using cascading goals for the upcoming year should be completed by November 25, 2016.
