TechTuesday

A weekly tip email from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.

Tip #1 – We all probably know by now that Google allows for some incredible collaboration, including the ability to annotate and comment on Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets. Did you know you can also comment on pdfs? This is great for collaboratively reviewing and approving pdfs.

First, the PDF needs to be in a Google Drive and you will want to open it in Google Drive. With it open, click the Comment icon.

Highlight anything you want to comment on and the comment box will appear on the right. You can @ people just like you can do in comments in other Google areas.

Tip #2 – We love data (hey, we’re IT). We love reports (who doesn’t, right?). We love helping (it’s just a nice thing to do). We are always willing to try helping with reporting in axiUm via Info Manager, but it’s a very powerful tool that you can utilize whenever you want. Yes, it can seem daunting, but our very own Katy Browder, an Info Manager expert, has created a presentation to help you with the basics (as well as a few pro tips).

Use this Info Manager Guide to get started with creating ridiculously rad reports. If you need extra help, we are always here (well, until 5pm at least…(ok enough parentheses for one email)).
