TechTuesday

A weekly tip email from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.

Tip #1 – Scrolling…scrolling…..scrolling…….scrolling

We have alot of appointment codes and yes, it can be a bit cumbersome searching for the right one. You may want to set a Default Appt Code.

In Scheduler>click the gear icon>choose your default appointment code from the drop down menu>click Accept.

As long as the provider going into the appointment has access to that appointment code, you will see it auto-populate when making appointments. This feature is for that specific computer (axiUm refers to this as a station).

Tip #2 –

Italy and England did not make January 1 as the start of the year until 1750.

The first countries to adopt the Gregorian Calendar were Spain, Portugal, and Italy.

5 months are named after gods and goddesses

1 month is named after a festival

4 months are simply named the Latin for that month’s number in the year

2 months are named after emperors

and 1 LMS named Canvas has a calendar feature to help ensure your students make those due dates!

On the far-left menu, click Calendar to see your personal Canvas calendar. Here you can add events, assignments, to-do lists and appointment slots.

On the calendar screen, you can toggle calendars on/off. Any assignments with due dates in that course will show here as well.

The first item you can add is an Event. Fill in the details and hit Submit!

The following weeks, we will discuss those other items you can put on a Canvas calendar.
