New Radiology Workflow for Images from Outside Providers
Hey everyone!
Currently, when patients come into our care from outside providers, their provider uses a Redcap form to securely submit images, which our Radiology team screens for quality and then uploads to miPacs. In an attempt to approve efficiency, going forward, we are going to try not screening incoming images and leave it to the provider/practice to discern quality. Radiology will upload received images straight into miPacs.
- For specialty clinics, the provider or resident will need to discern whether new images are needed.
- For students, you must have the attending help in discerning the quality (good learning opportunity). To track this, there is a new question in the Dental History Form (which requires approval).
