Tech Tuesday – July 26: NEW Appointment Codes in AxiUm and Copying a Canvas Course

Tip #1 – You get new appointment codes! And, you get new appointment codes! Yes, in axiUm, you will see new appointment codes when scheduling. These new codes are formatted for each department’s specific scheduling needs. Furthermore, clicking the 
icon allows you to adjust multiple options to make scheduling easier and more efficient. You can adjust where in the list, you default to when opening the scheduling window. If you work in pedds or perio, having your appointment codes snap to the “p” section will prevent that scrolling fatigue.
Tip #2 – Would you like a copy machine that also copies your Canvas courses from year to year and does your taxes?! Well that’s impossible…sorry. At least the taxes part is, because there IS a way to easily copy an entire course. In your NEW empty Canvas course click:
From the dropdown menu, select “Copy a Canvas Course.” Search for a course by typing a few characters of the course name or course number. Select “All content” or “Select specific content.” Click “Import.” Give it a few minutes and you will see that content appear after refreshing the page.
