A weekly tip from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.

Tip #1

If you don't know where to start, click Save to Chart.

Ok, that’s a little cheesy but it will help you remember this tip. Sometimes, in axiUm>Tx Plans, a user may develop a treatment plan, get it approved, and have the patient sign it, but it won’t automatically save to Tx History. You’ll know if this happens because your treatment plan text will turn purple-ish and a “Save to Chart” button will appear in the bottom right. Click that button to officially plan treatments and send them to Tx History.

Tip #2 – Put down that hammer! Yes, the program you are using just froze but there are other options! It’s time to learn some basic Help Desk skills. When a program freezes and becomes unresponsive it’s time to use Task Manager. You can open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc all together. This opens it straightaway.

When Task Manager opens, it will show the first tab, Processes. Here, you will see listed all the applications currently running. Click the one that is frozen/unresponsive>End Task. This will close the program and allow you to reopen it. (If it keeps freezing, put in a ticket!)
