TechTuesday

A weekly tip from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.

Tip #1 – S.I.F.F. is out there and it can happen to anyone! Scrolling-Induced-Finger-Fatigue can occur frequently to users scrolling through those REALLY long Tx History’s in axiUm. Luckily, you can prevent this from happening to you by using Views in axiUm>EHR>Tx History. Views lets the user filter Tx History by category. Do you only want to see Notes for that patient? Select Notes. Only want to see Completed treatment? Select Completed. Try them all and save those digits!

Tip #2 – Do you want to build in questions to your lectures to promote meaningful, moderated discussion? Do you like to question your students, but are having difficulty reaching all of them? Do you want to have a way of tracking attendance and participation in your lectures?

Poll Everywhere might be the solution for you!

With all the activity options available in Poll Everywhere (shown above), you can present multiple choice or short answer questions, collect survey data instantly, and even facilitate live brainstorming.  The possibilities are truly astounding! You, as the content creator, get to see who participated, how they answered, and control how long a question or activity is live for your students. You can even link your Poll Everywhere results to your Canvas Course for easy grading. Log in with google to https://www.polleverywhere.com/ using your VCU eid to start your journey today!
