Bonus award – May 2019
Dear Colleague:
I am pleased to inform you that, as part of VCU’s merit process, you have been awarded a bonus. Bonuses are included by default in your take home pay and will appear in your July 1 paycheck.
Because your take home pay will be larger than usual, you may request to defer a lump sum from your July 1 paycheck to a retirement savings plan. As a reminder, any lump sum amounts you defer to a retirement savings plan count toward the2019 annual tax savings limit for that plan, along with any regular paycheck contributions you have made during 2019.
