Faculty and staff must have home address to receive parking permit
The VCU Department of Parking and Transportation recently implemented a new system to issue temporary parking permits to new employees while permanent permits are processed and mailed directly to the employee’s home. This means that employees must have a home mailing address on file. Employees with no mailing address will not be in the Parking and Transportation system and will not be issued a parking permit. This change has important implications for personnel administrators.

  • Be sure to enter a mailing address in Express Hire for each new employee.
  • Make sure our new colleagues are aware that upon requesting a parking permit, they will be asked to verify their home address in Banner. It is important that their address is correct and that their permanent address is on file. Their permanent parking permit will be mailed to this address.

As always, it is important to remind employees to keep their contact information up-to-date in Banner. Thank you for your support in providing a seamless and positive experience for our new faculty and staff. Questions? Please contact your HR Consultant.
