Tech Tuesday – October 24: eRx Active Medications and Prescription Management and Google Tasks

Tip #1 – eRx is our e-prescribing platform that ties directly into axiUm. One very important tip to remember is the difference between Active Medications and Prescription Management.
Active Medications lists any drug the patient is currently taking. This could be something they were taking before they entered our clinics or something prescribed while here and now taking.
Prescription Management lists any prescriptions that have not been approved or sent yet.
*Once a prescription is approved and sent, it will move to the Active Medications.
Tip #2 – Want to know how I remember to send Tech Tuesday emails?Google Tasks
Tasks is a tool most of us in IT use to keep track of our to-do’s. It’s free to use and already available to all of you. In any Google platform, click the blue-circle-checkbox icon on the right. This will pop out your Google Tasks pane, where you can create list, after list! Click “Add a task” to add a new one; to check one off the list, click the radio button next to the task.
Clicking into the created Task lets you add details, reminder dates & time, and subtasks.
