Tech Tuesday – July 12; Series View in MiPacs and Sharing Google Drive Files in Canvas
TechTuesday
A weekly tip email from your neighborhood Instructional Technology and eHR team.
Tip #1 – miPacs, our 2D image platform, has lots of little buttons, gizmos, tools, and tricks. Today, we are taking the easy route smart route, and providing a video that succinctly summarizes a few good tips about the Series view in miPacs.
Tip #2 – How often do you link something on Canvas from your Google Drive or send out a share link in an email only to receive 100 emails asking for permission to access that link? Try this! Put all content, like presentation slides, syllabus, and schedule, in one Google Drive folder. Then, share that folder with all needing access, like an entire class of students. Going forward, no sharing is required. Place all content in that same folder and those users will automatically have access. In this example, I share an entire Google Drive folder with the D1 class. Now, any link I get out of this folder is already shared with the class, so I can go straight to Canvas to place the link.
